Mr. & Mrs. Hawkins | Southern Bleachery | Greenville, SC Wedding
Mari Claire and Robert’s wedding at the Southern Bleachery in Greenville, SC was such a sweet day. They met when MC needed help hanging something at her new apartment and her roommate knew a guy. Robert showed up and the rest is history! Robert and his groomsmen have been friends for years. When they started getting married, the wives and girlfriends became just as close. Most of the bridesmaids are married to the groomsmen and it made for a super fun bridal party.MC and I met through church and a co-working space, but we really connected because we’ve both lost our moms. Her dad still had her mom’s wedding dress and MC did a first look with her dad in her mom’s dress (as well as her own). It was such a special moment and one she will have to look back on. One of her mother figures walked down the aisle in place of her mom and placed a special magnolia bloom on her mom's chair. Other important women in MC's life stood during this moment which was a beautiful way to honor them for their role in her life. Robert also wore heirloom pieces for They got married at the Southern Bleachery in Greenville, and I am in love with this place! It’s got so much character, while also being such a blank space to create the event you want. MC’s style is cool girl chic and she’s probably the most stylish girl I know. Every detail of the wedding day had her influence on it and that’s exactly how it should be for your own wedding. MC is known for wearing hats and I’m so glad she had one for the reception! When brides are shopping at my boutique for their dress I always say - you want to look and feel like you on your wedding day, just the bridal version and MC certainly was. The Farehouse created an amazing charcuterie display for cocktail hour and custom pizzas for the reception - how fun is that?!? (pro tip: you’re the bride and groom, get the food YOU want to eat, not what you think you should have.) Junto Coffee is right next door, so Anna and Gio took them over there for some photos, and ended the night with smoke bombs and confetti on the dance floor. It was a party for the books!
