Matthew and Hailey got married in November at Heyward Manor in Iva, SC. The day was blustery but beautiful - just wait until you see the photos! It was a perfect fall wedding!Hailey reached out to us in February on a recommendation from Katie Jaynes Photography. Heyward Manor requires a wedding coordinator and as she already hired Katie to do her photography, Katie recommended us. We were so excited to finally work with KJP for a wedding - we love Katie and Mitchel! Read Matthew and Hailey’s story below.

How they got engaged

Matt proposed at Caesars Head mountain. We were sitting at a picnic table, and I saw a cardinal and made the comment, “Ahh, those are supposed to be good luck.” He said he was trying to find the right moment and when I said that, he said that was his sign.He then proceeds to start off the proposal with “I’ve been lying to you” (not recommended) lol.I said, “Be very careful what you say next,” then continued the proposal with “I wasn’t at work yesterday, I went to see your parents”….and then got down on one knee.

Their favorite parts of their wedding day

The most memorable part for me was the sunset and the toasts. His favorite part was when he first saw me about to walk down the aisle.Our own favorite part was just how much love there was from everyone at their wedding. From the first look with her dad, brother and even little nephew, to sunset photos and karaoke with her brother, the whole day was full of love. Everyone had smiles and loved just hanging out together. It’s the only time all of your favorite people are in one room and that just makes it all the more special. We want you to enjoy that time together and Hailey and Matthew certainly did!

Why they hired a wedding planner

I had never considered a wedding coordinator, but our venue required we have one, and our photographer recommended Katharine Marie Weddings. I knew I wasn’t planning a huge event, but I liked how down to earth Allie was and that she offered different packages.I used Pinterest a LOT for timelines and setting goals to get certain things done by certain times. Don’t stress though…especially if you choose Allie to coordinate, you really won’t have to worry if everything will work out.We are so grateful for Katie Jaynes’ recommendation and getting to work with them at a wedding!
