Blush Fall Wedding at Heyward Manor
From the flowers and colors, to the details and desserts, you’re going to love these photos we’re sharing.
But what we love most about Leana & Jason’s wedding? The amount of honor they gave to their family and friends, especially their parents. They read private vows to each other just in front of their parents and bridal party, creating an intimate moment during the day. During the ceremony and while cutting the cake, their parents played a role. Each moment of the day was filled with joy and so much heart for each other and their marriage.
Jason’s mom, Lana is the florist at @littlemarketandflowers and alongside, Leana and her mom, Natalia, they dreamed up and designed the most lovely day. Lana also owns @artcoffeecart (you know we’re big coffee fans over here!) - we don’t know how she does it all, but she is amazing!! We enjoyed every moment of working with these two sweet familes.
What was your favorite part about your wedding day?
It’s so hard to say my absolute favorite memory, but one I will treasure forever was when I had the first look with Jason and I got to see his raw reaction to seeing me in a wedding dress and hearing his vows. He had tears streaming down his face on the first look and I saw how truly excited he was and how much he valued this day for us. The vows we shared were so special and so us. I will never be able to forget how I felt and how much I felt the love we shared.
Any other special things that were important to you that you were happy to do on your wedding day?
Another special thing I loved doing was after Jason and I cut our cake we invited our parents to each cut a slice and share it with each other to reminisce their own special day and also gifting them a portrait of Jason and I from that morning. Both the cake cutting and present felt like such a special way to honor them and their marriage and everything that they had done for us. We truly are so thankful for them and cherish them with all our hearts.
What advice would you give brides while they're planning their wedding and in newlywed life?
Advice I would give to other brides is to not let all the little details and worries get to you and to truly enjoy the moments with your fiancé and family and close friends in planning and to not let your wedding day be consumed with worries but instead soak in every single moment. Maybe not absolutely everything will not go to plan but it will all work out exactly as it should, just enjoy every moment with your groom, you only have this day once.
What did you like about working with Katharine marie weddings?
I loved working with Allie, I had her as my day-of-coordinator which included planning abut 3 months ahead of time as well. She is so organized with every single detail. Even on the day of, because of the spreadsheets she had made and worked together on, in case of anything not going to plan she already had a plan B, plan C, etc. She was always prepared and checked in on us throughout the day, making sure we were just enjoying our time as a newlywed. Even at the end of the night, I had a moment where I felt very faint, Allie was ready to go get whatever I needed to help me and get me ready for the send-off. She is truly amazing to work with and took a lot of pressure and worries off my shoulder. I genuinely am so thankful that I had her helping me on my wedding day.
